Associate Degree of Network Technology
This course has a balance of theory and practical skills. You are immediately employable as you use the latest technologies in well equipped laboratories. Studies align with the Cisco and Microsoft vendor certifications which are well recognised by industry/employers.
Research and problem-solving skills will allow you to further develop and learn once employed. Graduates will be able to apply their technical and theoretical knowledge in the field of Information Technology with specialist knowledge to undertake professional work in the IT industry or as a pathway for further learning.
This course is registered with the Department of Immigration and Border Protection as a Higher Education qualification. Therefore you must apply for the Higher Education Sector Visa (Subclass 573). The advanced standing stated in the pathway for this Associate Degree is based on the understanding that students have completed their Diploma of Information Technology Networking studies at Polytechnic West. Students who have completed the Diploma of Information Technology at another institution and who wish to enrol into this Associate Degree will only be eligible to receive advanced standing for up to 2 units. Students requesting the advertised advanced standing can be assessed on a case by case basis and will have the option to pay extra tuition fees of up to $550 for the two compulsory CISCO units.
