Advanced Diploma of International Business
Understand the complex world of international trade -- the exchange of goods and services between countries.
It draws on a complex web of resources in manufacturing, marketing, finance and logistics, and is relevant to both the government and the private sector.
You will gain knowledge in marketing, international trade and economics, business and computer applications, importing, exporting, transport and logistics to effectively compete in all sectors of international business at an operational and middle-management level.
Suited to people currently employed in international business, this program demands sensitivity to different cultures and other personal qualities.
Year 12 applicants typically apply for the Certificate IV and complete the suite of 3 programs in 1.5 to 2 years full-time.
Non-Year 12 applicants with prior skills, knowledge, experience or qualifications in international business or similar can apply for recognition of prior learning (RPL), or do 1 of the 3 programs depending on needs and experience.
Note: Each qualification level is a new enrolment in a new program. Your eligibility for a government-subsidised place will be assessed before you enrol in each new program, and these results will determine the fees you'll pay.

Learning and teaching
RMIT's Swanston Academic Building features wireless connection to printers, the web and specialist learning resources, interactive lecture and tutorial spaces, lectorial theatres, small-group rooms and other innovative learning spaces as well as retail and social spaces.
RMIT offers a variety of learning and teaching approaches including lectures, seminars, studios, workshops, presentations, group discussions and syndicate work. These are primarily in English. You will have access to online resources through the myRMIT student portal.
Ongoing assessment throughout the semester includes examinations, essays, reports, oral classes, presentations, group projects, research projects, laboratory projects and practical assignments.
You must have successfully completed an Australian Year 12 or an equivalent senior secondary school qualification with a minimum average of 50%.
Equivalent qualifications may also include completion of the RMIT Foundation Studies program or a recognised post secondary Diploma in the relevant discipline with the required grades.
English language requirements:
To study this program you will need to complete the Academic IELTS with an overall band of 5.5 and no individual band below 5.0.
