This course has been specifically designed for adult learners (24yrs+) who have not studied A-levels or a BTEC qualification before but who would like a quick route into Higher Education. The course will prepare you academically for University Level courses, such as the FdAs, HNDs and BAs on offer at dBs Music.
You’ll get hands on experience through a broad range of projects from recording bands and using studio equipment to creating your own samples and exploring synthesis. You will develop a solid grounding in a range of music production, technology, composition and performance skills. There are also specialist modules including Digital Mixing Production, Sound Design, Audio Production, Sampling and Mastering. You will also gain an understanding of the structure of the music industry, the key aspects of the business such as contracts, royalties, licensing and promoting yourself as an artist.

The entry requirement for this course is 4 GCSE’s at grades A – C and must include English or Maths. Or an equivalent qualification such as a BTEC Level 2.
